Art of leather puppetry, a Puppet Show on Sundara Kand from Ramayan

      Every year during the industrial,Agricultural and Horti cultural Exhibition that is conducted in Kakinada during December/January months, cultural programmes are also being organized in the evenings at the venue. As part of preserving the culture and heritage of our District and also to patronize the dying performing Arts of the District like Leather Puppet shows, Garagalu, Veera Natyalu , Garadeelu and others,they are recommended for staging on behalf of East Godavari Chapter. The tribal dances of our forest areas are almost extinct, we can rekindle these dying arts and provide some monetary benefit also to the tribals. Also by providing such relief, we will be weaning them away from anti-social activities which is alarmingly on the rise.
